About the Role:
The Ocean Freight Import Operator plays a crucial role in ensuring the smooth and efficient execution of ocean freight shipments. This position requires a strong understanding of ocean freight operations, documentation, and trade terms.
Responsibilities:
路 Coordinate and manage ocean freight shipments from booking to delivery, ensuring timely and accurate execution.
路 Prepare and process necessary documentation, including shipping instructions, bills of lading, customs declarations, and invoices.
路 Liaise with shipping lines, customs brokers, and other stakeholders to ensure smooth shipment flow.
路 Monitor and track shipments, providing updates to customers and resolving any issues that may arise.
路 Negotiate freight rates and contract terms with shipping lines.
路 Handle customs clearance procedures, including documentation and payment.
路 Provide excellent customer service, addressing customer inquiries and resolving issues promptly.
路 Stay updated on industry regulations, tariffs, and trade agreements.
路 Assist in the development and implementation of process improvements to enhance operational efficiency.
路 Collaborate with other departments within the company to ensure seamless communication and coordination.
路Analyze and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) related to ocean freight operations.
Qualifications:
路 Minimum of 3 years of experience in ocean freight operations.
路 Strong understanding of ocean freight documentation and procedures.
路 Excellent organizational and time management skills.
路 Attention to detail and accuracy.
路 Good communication and interpersonal skills.
