We're working with a welcoming and inclusive primary school in the Great Barr area of Birmingham (B42), seeking a dedicated Key Stage 2 Class Teacher for a full-time, long-term role starting in September. Whether you are an experienced teacher or an ECT, this is a fantastic opportunity to join a supportive teaching team and make a real difference in the classroom.
About the Role:
As the KS2 Class Teacher, you'll take full responsibility for planning, delivering, and assessing engaging and creative lessons that meet the needs of all learners in your class. You'll work closely with your year group team, support staff, and senior leaders to deliver high-quality teaching that promotes both academic progress and emotional wellbeing.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver high-quality teaching in line with the Key Stage 2 curriculum.
- Create an inclusive, stimulating, and safe learning environment.
- Plan differentiated lessons to meet a range of needs and abilities.
- Assess pupil progress, provide constructive feedback, and maintain accurate records.
- Work collaboratively with other teachers, teaching assistants, and the wider school community.
- Contribute to the wider school life, including extracurricular opportunities and school events.
Candidate Requirements:
- Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or PGCE.
- ECTs are encouraged to apply and will be fully supported.
- Strong knowledge of the KS2 curriculum.
- Excellent classroom management and behaviour management strategies.
- Committed to delivering inclusive, child-centred education.
- Ability to build strong relationships with pupils, parents, and colleagues.
