Salary: 37-45,000

A well-established architectural practice based in Birmingham is seeking a talented Project Architect to join its growing team. Recognised for its collaborative culture, high design standards, and commitment to delivering creative yet practical architectural solutions, the practice works across a diverse range of sectors. The studio fosters professional growth, teamwork, and innovation, providing an environment where architects can develop leadership and design skills while contributing to the successful delivery of complex and rewarding projects.

In this role, the Project Architect will take a leading position within the design team, managing the day-to-day running of a primary project while supporting colleagues across others in development. The position offers the opportunity to work closely with clients, consultants, and partners, developing both design leadership and project management experience within a supportive and design-driven practice.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the day-to-day running of architectural projects, reporting to Associates and Partners
  • Coordinate and manage internal and external design teams, ensuring projects are delivered on time and within budget
  • Liaise directly with clients, consultants, and contractors across all project stages
  • Manage project costs against fees and assist partners with financial control
  • Oversee the full design process from concept to completion, ensuring compliance with RIBA standards
  • Prepare and issue design documentation, reports, drawings, and presentations
  • Chair and record design and site meetings as required
  • Administer contracts and support project programming and scheduling


About You

  • Fully qualified Architect with ARB registration
  • Experienced in project running, team coordination, and client liaison
  • Strong design and technical skills with a clear understanding of RIBA work stages
  • Proficient in Revit, AutoCAD, Adobe Creative Suite, and Microsoft 365
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and organisational abilities
  • Capable of working independently and managing multiple priorities
  • Proactive and supportive mentor with a commitment to developing junior team members
  • Dedicated to ongoing professional development and long-term career progression within the practice
