Key Duties & Responsibilities:
Working alongside the Lead Avionics Subject Matter Expert, you will supervise a skilled team of avionics technicians, overseeing detailed inspections in line with manufacturing processes to ensure the highest standards of quality are upheld. You will lead by example, fostering a culture of safety and efficiency. Your role will involve coordinating tasks and contributing to the smooth execution of the production and modification program. Acting as a key point of contact for all avionic-related aspects of the program, you will collaborate closely with the Avionics Lead SME and provide regular updates to your Line Manager on progress and any arising issues.

  • Detailed inspection IAW Boeing Aircraft Corporation specifications.
  • Interpret technical manuals, schematics, and regulatory requirements.
  • Track adherence to allocated task card hours for avionics maintenance and modifications.
  • Identify discrepancies between planned and actual hours, analysing root causes.
  • Escalate variations to stakeholders, including line managers, planners, and program team.
  • Recommend process improvements to optimise efficiency and resource allocation.
  • Support avionics system testing, validation, and troubleshooting.
  • Provide mentorship to junior avionics personnel.


Skills and Abilities:

  • CAA/EASA Part 66 B2 License
  • Type rated on Boeing 737NG
  • Previous modification experience
  • Inspection experience in heavy modification programs
  • Excellent knowledge of Avionics systems
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills
  • Knowledge of MS Office applications
  • Eligible to work and live in the UK
  • Subject to UK security Vetting

  • Initial Human Factors; Continuation Training Human Factors
  • Initial SFAR phase 1&2; Continuation Training SFAR phase 1&2
  • Initial EWIS group 1&2 (including EWIS group 1 Module G; Continuation Training EWIS group 1&2
  • ETOPS
  • RVSM
  • Fuel Tank Safety Certificate
