Key Duties & Responsibilities:
Working alongside the Lead Avionics Subject Matter Expert, you will supervise a skilled team of avionics technicians, overseeing detailed inspections in line with manufacturing processes to ensure the highest standards of quality are upheld. You will lead by example, fostering a culture of safety and efficiency. Your role will involve coordinating tasks and contributing to the smooth execution of the production and modification program. Acting as a key point of contact for all avionic-related aspects of the program, you will collaborate closely with the Avionics Lead SME and provide regular updates to your Line Manager on progress and any arising issues.
- Detailed inspection IAW Boeing Aircraft Corporation specifications.
- Interpret technical manuals, schematics, and regulatory requirements.
- Track adherence to allocated task card hours for avionics maintenance and modifications.
- Identify discrepancies between planned and actual hours, analysing root causes.
- Escalate variations to stakeholders, including line managers, planners, and program team.
- Recommend process improvements to optimise efficiency and resource allocation.
- Support avionics system testing, validation, and troubleshooting.
- Provide mentorship to junior avionics personnel.
Skills and Abilities:
- CAA/EASA Part 66 B2 License
- Type rated on Boeing 737NG
- Previous modification experience
- Inspection experience in heavy modification programs
- Excellent knowledge of Avionics systems
- Excellent interpersonal skills
- Excellent communication and organisational skills
- Knowledge of MS Office applications
- Eligible to work and live in the UK
- Subject to UK security Vetting
Part-145 Training Requirements:
- Initial Human Factors; Continuation Training Human Factors
- Initial SFAR phase 1&2; Continuation Training SFAR phase 1&2
- Initial EWIS group 1&2 (including EWIS group 1 Module G; Continuation Training EWIS group 1&2
- ETOPS
- RVSM
- Fuel Tank Safety Certificate
