Class 1 Driver – Birmingham
Location: Birmingham
Reports to: Depot Supervisor
Job Type: Full-Time | Permanent

Salary: £37,000 (£39,000 if ADR Trained)

We are seeking a professional and experienced Class 1 Driver to join our team based in Birmingham. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering and collecting goods across the UK, ensuring safety, compliance, and exceptional service at all times.

Key Responsibilities

  • Complete UK-wide deliveries and collections.

  • Load and unload freight in accordance with safety procedures using appropriate equipment.

  • Maintain load security during transport.

  • Adhere to vehicle safety regulations, tachograph laws, and the Working Time Directive.

  • Represent the company professionally when dealing with customers and colleagues.

Requirements

  • Full UK C+E licence.

  • Valid Driver CPC card (DQC).

  • Digital tachograph card.

  • Minimum of 2 years’ experience driving LGV Class 1 vehicles.

  • Must be over 25 years old (insurance requirement).

  • Strong understanding of EU Driving Regulations and the Working Time Directive.

  • Good knowledge of UK road networks and major routes.

  • Familiarity with the Highway Code and legal speed limits for LGVs.

  • Experience in manual loading/unloading and securing freight.

  • Clean driving record with no drink or drug-related endorsements in the past 10 years and no disqualifications in the past 5 years. No IN, CD, DD, DR, or BA endorsements.
