Smart Education is recruiting for an inspirational Faculty Lead – Maths to join a respected special school in Birmingham. The school supports students aged 11–19 with complex Autism and communication needs. This full-time, temp-to-perm role is ideal for a dedicated maths specialist with experience across multiple key stages and within SEN settings.
In this rewarding leadership role, you’ll shape and deliver a purposeful, engaging maths curriculum, mentor a committed teaching team, and contribute to the broader curriculum, including supporting maths at the primary level.
The Ideal Candidate Will:

Hold QTS and have strong experience teaching maths to learners with Autism.

Have prior leadership or curriculum coordination experience in SEN environments.

Be confident delivering a primary-style curriculum alongside secondary maths.

Use creative and tailored approaches to engage learners with communication needs.

Motivate and support colleagues to deliver outstanding, inclusive lessons.
