CLASS 1 DRIVER

Hours: WORKING MONDAY TO FRIDAY - START TIMES 14:00 - 20:30

Pay Rate: £18.00 - £19.04 PER HOUR

People Solutions are currently recruiting for a Class 1 Driver to join our well-established client based in ASTON, WEST MIDLANDS. This is a fantastic opportunity offering great rates of pay and room to grow and progress.

Rates of Pay

£18.00 per hour Monday to Friday
£18.28 per hour Saturday
£19.04 per hour Sunday

Day to Day Duties:

Your duties as a Class 1 Driver will involve but not be limited to:

RDC or customer deliveries which may include handballing (working on curtain-side or tail lift vehicles)
Operating and driving various Class 1 vehicles in a safe and efficient manner to and from delivery locations
Performing pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections
Ensuring all cargo is loaded and secured properly
Adhering to traffic laws and regulations
Communicating effectively with dispatch and customers
Reporting any vehicle defects or maintenance needs to management
Assisting with loading and unloading of cargo as needed
Completing any paperwork

Essential Skills:

As a Class 1 Driver you will need to:

Hold a valid UK Category CE Licence
Have a minimum of 24 months experience driving CE vehicles
No more than six penalty points for minor infringements and no major endorsement codes
Have a valid UK CPC Card & UK Digi Card
Must be able to speak and read a good level of English
Punctuality and excellent time keeping skills
Have a good understanding of traffic laws and regulations
Effective communication skills

Desirable Experience:

Experience driving any commercial vehicles would be beneficial
Previous experience with multi drop deliveries will be beneficial

Training:

Driver's Assessment must be completed
