Smart Education is currently recruiting for a Humanities Teacher to join a Pupil Referral Unit (PRU) based in Birmingham. Job requirements:
• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS/QTLS)
• Experience teaching Humanities (History, Geography, or RE) at KS3 and KS4
• Strong classroom and behaviour management skills
• Experience working with students with SEMH or additional learning needs 
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Commitment to inclusive education and safeguarding practices
• Ability to plan and deliver engaging, differentiated lessons

 

Role responsibilities:
• Deliver high-quality Humanities lessons that engage, challenge, and inspire learners
• Plan and implement a relevant, differentiated curriculum to meet pupils’ diverse needs
• Monitor and support pupils’ academic progress and emotional development
• Contribute to school development planning and departmental growth
• Apply effective behaviour management strategies to create a safe, positive classroom environment
• Provide accurate progress data, reports, and references for individual pupils
• Collaborate with colleagues, parents, and external agencies to support pupil success
• Promote equality, inclusion, and safeguarding across all aspects of school life
