Lead Engineering Tutor for BTEC/HNC

We are working with an education provider in the Birmingham area who are looking for a Lead Engineering Tutor for BTEC/HNC to join their engineering training team on a full-time, permanent basis.
The role would involve leading on the quality of delivery excellence for our academic provision of BTEC and HNC, and the training of new members of the team and supporting the Programme Manager in the standardisation and technical compliance of the curriculum. The post holder will need to have a good knowledge of the Engineering BTEC and HNC qualifications and a proven record in strong classroom engagement. Candidates with either a Mechanical or Electrical bias can both be considered.
This role will work closely with the Quality of Education Manager to support and train team members in teaching, learning and assessment which is accessible, engaging and contextualised to work/apprenticeship standards for learners. The post-holder can expect a lesser timetabled commitment, by approximately a quarter, to facilitate this. The Lead Tutor will also function as a support for managers in response to curriculum changes and should be suitably skilled to contribute to wider business discussions and activity around quality improvements.
The training provider are offering a starting salary of between 41,000 and 43,000 per annum for this position, which would also include a contributory pension, a health plan (including dental and optical contributions), and 34 days holiday per year (including Bank Holidays). You would also get to finish early (1pm) on Fridays.
To be eligible for the position, you MUST have:
-A level 4 Engineering qualification (or higher)
-A teaching qualification
-Experience of delivering at BTEC/HNC level
