Our client, a Freight Forwarding company based in Great Barr, Birmingham are looking for an experienced Sea Freight Export Operator to join their Operations team.
Duties will include:
- Arranging and managing bookings
- Coordinating with shipping lines, and liaising with hauliers for collections and deliveries.
- Preparing, checking, and submitting all required paperwork, including Bills of Lading, customs entries (like NES), and commercial invoices.
- This also includes ensuring compliance with Incoterms and international shipping regulations.
- Acting as the main point of contact for clients, providing updates on shipment status, and liaising with overseas offices, agents, and other third parties.
- Processing and checking invoices, and ensuring timely and accurate billing to clients.
- Continuously monitoring cargo movement from the point of receipt to its final destination
Experience Required:
- Must have at least 2 years experience within the freight industry
- Someone willing to learn and work within a small dedicated team
- Must have excellent telephone manner and good customer service skills
Salary is dependant on experience.
