An Outstanding-rated Sixth Form College in central Birmingham is looking for a Graduate Academic Learning Coach in Science to support learners across subjects like Biology, Chemistry, Physics, and Applied Science. Youll work alongside expert teaching staff to provide academic, emotional, and behavioural support that helps every student thrive.
What Youll Do
Deliver 1:1 and small-group support in Scienceboosting understanding, confidence, and engagement.
Help students grasp tricky concepts and develop practical scientific thinking.
Assist teachers with managing learning behaviours and maintaining a positive, focused environment.
Support students with SEN or those re-engaging with educationbuilding trust and belief in their potential.
Act as a role model who brings enthusiasm, patience, and curiosity into every session.
A Science graduate (2:2 or above) in any scientific disciplineBiology, Chemistry, Physics, or related fields.
Someone passionate about education, STEM, and supporting young people to succeed.
A confident communicator with a calm and empathetic approachespecially when working with students who need additional support.
An aspiring teacher, researcher, medic, or youth professional seeking meaningful experience.
