Job Title: Commercial Gas Engineer
Location: Mobile – Covering West Midlands, North West & Central Regions
Job Type: Full-time, Permanent
Start Date: ASAP
Salary: £40,000 – £45,000 per annum (DOE) + structured overtime
The Company
We have a strong and consistent pipeline of work from repeat business clients operating primarily across the UK prison estate, defence sites, highways and infrastructure, and the education sector. Our team includes a dedicated workforce of long-standing engineers who take pride in delivering high-quality services.
This is a mobile role with reasonable travel required, and candidates will be considered from across the West Midlands and North West regions.
Engineer Responsibilities

Carry out PPM and reactive maintenance on a wide range of commercial sites

Deliver servicing contracts to both established and new clients

Maintain commercial heating and ventilation systems including gas/oil boilers, pumps, AHUs, and other HVAC equipment

Diagnose faults, carry out repairs, and ensure full operational functionality of systems

Complete compliance and statutory reports in line with Gas Safe regulations and industry best practices

Ensure all work complies with current Health & Safety legislation
Requirements

Fully conversant with the maintenance and servicing of commercial gas and oil-fired HVAC systems

Must hold valid Gas Safe non-domestic qualifications

OFTEC qualifications are highly advantageous

Electrical qualifications are desirable but not essential

Strong mechanical, electrical, and plumbing (M&E) knowledge

Proven diagnostic and fault-finding skills

Familiarity with tablet-based CAFM systems
