IT Workshop Operative - Birmingham (B11)


We are currently recruiting for an IT Workshop Operative to join our team in Birmingham (B11). This is a hands-on, process-driven role ideal for individuals with entry-level technical knowledge or those looking to build a career in IT operations.


Contract Details:

  • Rate: 16.30 per hour (umbrella rate subject to deductions)
  • Contract duration- minimum 3 months
  • Hours: Monday to Friday, 7:45 AM - 4:15 PM (8-hour day with 30-minute unpaid lunch)
  • IR35 Status: Inside IR35
  • Location: Must be able to commute to Birmingham (B11)
  • Possibility role could lead to a permanent position (TBC)


Key Responsibilities:

  • Carry out workshop-based IT processes under instruction and supervision
  • Ensure all items received are recorded accurately and comply with current procedures
  • Maintain full audit trails throughout all operational processes
  • Achieve deliverables in line with customer service level agreements
  • Adhere to all Company Health and Safety policies and procedures
  • Assist relevant teams with stock control and inventory management
  • Maintain a friendly, professional, and proactive attitude when dealing with internal and external customers


Candidate Requirements:

  • Previous experience in a similar operational role or a smart, adaptable individual willing to be trained
  • Computer literate and comfortable with basic administrative tasks
  • Able to pass a DBS check
  • Strong attention to detail and process compliance
  • Positive attitude and team-oriented mindset
  • Must be able to commute reliably to Birmingham (B11)
