Your new companyHays is working with a leading independent UK multidisciplinary consultancy that works in the property, infrastructure and construction industry. They have over 150 years of experience supporting and delivering on small to large-scale projects with values from £250,000 - £1bn. Your new roleYou will be a senior or principal health and safety consultant working individually or alongside a consultant/associate director on projects within the commercial, healthcare, education, and defence sectors, amongst others. You will be part of one of the largest health and safety teams and play a key part in delivering on major projects as well as helping to develop consultants. What you'll need to succeed

  • Be able to work autonomously
  • Have significant construction experience and sound knowledge of construction design, building control requirements, construction techniques and materials, fire safety in construction, temporary works, asbestos, demolition, scaffolding, working at height and lifting
  • Have achieved a NEBOSH Construction Certificate, GradIOSH and/or IMaPS
  • Be working towards or achieved: NEBOSH Diploma, NCRQ Diploma, NCRQ Diploma, NVQ L5. Design / Construction Degree

It is desirable if you have:

  • Achieved NEBOSH Diploma, NCRQ Diploma, NCRQ Diploma, NVQ L5. Design / Construction Degree Good business acumen, knowledge of managing budgets, and business development.
  • Experience within a range of sectors
  • Experience of supporting junior colleagues
