Location: Small Heath, Birmingham (B9)
Start Date: September 2025
Weekly Pay: 455 - 480
Contract: Full-time, Term-time only

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Key Stage 2 Teaching Assistant to join a vibrant and welcoming primary school in Small Heath, Birmingham (B9) from September 2025. This is a full-time position supporting teaching and learning across Year 4 and Year 5 classrooms.

Role Overview

As a KS2 Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with class teachers to support the delivery of high-quality, whole-class learning. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Providing in-class support during lessons in both Year 4 and Year 5.
  • Assisting pupils who require additional help to access and understand the curriculum.
  • Delivering small group interventions to reinforce learning objectives.
  • Supporting pupils with low-level SEN needs, such as ADHD and Autism, within the classroom setting.
  • Preparing and organising learning materials and resources to support smooth lesson delivery.
  • Promoting a positive, inclusive, and engaging learning environment.

Ideal Candidate Will Have

  • A Level 3 Supporting Teaching and Learning qualification or a relevant Level 3 qualification.
  • A sound understanding of the KS2 curriculum, particularly in Years 4 and 5.
  • Experience working with children in Year 2 (desirable).
  • Experience supporting pupils with SEN, including ADHD and Autism (desirable).
  • Excellent communication skills, patience, and a proactive attitude.
