We are seeking a dedicated and empathetic Teaching Assistant to join our SEND school in B12 Balsall. The ideal candidate will have a genuine passion for helping students with SEMH (Social, Emotional, and Mental Health) needs thrive in a supportive and inclusive learning environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide one-to-one and small group support to students with SEMH needs.
Help students engage with the curriculum and manage classroom behavior.
Work closely with the teaching staff to create personalized learning plans and strategies.
Build positive relationships with students, helping them to develop confidence, independence, and social skills.
Assist in creating a safe, calm, and positive learning environment.
Who We're Looking For:
Experience in a similar role, or a background in working with children or young people with additional needs (desirable but not essential).
Preferred Male-To suit SEN Needs.
An understanding of SEMH and a compassionate approach to supporting students.
Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team.
A positive, patient, and resilient attitude.
