Are you passionate about making a difference in the lives of children with high needs SEND? A welcoming primary school in Aston is seeking a dedicated SEND Teaching Assistant to join their resourced provision, offering tailored support to pupils with additional needs.
This is a rewarding opportunity to work alongside a skilled team, providing 1:1 and small group support to children with EHCPs. If you're patient, calm under pressure, and committed to helping every child thrive - you'll fit right in.
What You'll Be Doing:
- Support high needs SEND pupils within a specialist provision
- Work 1:1 or with small groups to deliver targeted interventions
- Collaborate with the SENDCo and therapy teams to meet EHCP outcomes
- Use visuals, sensory tools and routines to support learning and regulation
- Help pupils manage transitions and build independence
We're Looking For Someone That:
- Previous experience working in a Primary school or Nursery
- Experience supporting children with SEND (e.g. ASD, SALCN, SEMH)
- A nurturing, resilient approach and strong behaviour management
- Ability to use Makaton, PECS or sensory strategies is a bonus
- A commitment to consistency, structure and pupil progress
