The Role:

We are looking for a passionate and student-focused Senior Lecturer in Social Work to join our new and growing team at the University. This is an exciting opportunity to help shape the future of our Social Work programmes and wider Social Work department.

This is an exciting opportunity to be part of building something from the ground up. You will be involved in designing and delivering engaging, inclusive teaching that applies theory to real-world social work practice. You will also support students/apprentices through their learning journey, helping them to build confidence and professional practice skills.

As a senior member of the team, you will work closely with colleagues to develop the curriculum, lead innovation in teaching and learning, and support our strong relationships with placement providers and employers. We welcome creative ideas-particularly those that make the most of digital tools and bring learning to life in ways that reflect the realities of contemporary social work practice.

You will have experience of teaching in Higher Education and working with Social Work England's Professional Standards. You will also understand the needs of diverse learners and be committed to widening participation. Most importantly, you will care about making a difference-for your learners and for the social work profession.
