Employee Relations Manager (FTC)£38,000 - £42,000 | Hybrid | Birmingham Fixed-Term Contract

Are you a seasoned HR professional with a passion for resolving complex people challenges and driving positive employee outcomes? We're looking for an Employee Relations Advisor/Consultant to join a values-led organisation undergoing significant growth and change.

This is an exciting opportunity to shape and elevate how employee relations is delivered across a busy, multi-site organisation - providing expert guidance, strengthening consistency, and influencing key people practices.

In This Role, You Will:

  • Take ownership of complex and sensitive employee relations cases - from conduct and grievance to absence, capability, and organisational change.

  • Be the go-to advisor for colleagues in HR and management, offering confident, well-informed support on a broad range of ER matters.

  • Design and implement user-friendly tools, templates and frameworks that simplify and standardise ER handling across the organisation.

  • Support policy and process development to ensure the organisation remains compliant, inclusive and forward-thinking - especially around family-friendly policies.

  • Contribute to broader HR transformation projects, including job levelling, occupational health improvements, and policy modernisation.

  • Partner with the wider HR team to develop meaningful data insights and dashboards that shape decisions and drive smarter case management.

  • Strong expertise in UK employee relations, with a track record of navigating complex casework confidently and independently.

  • A practical understanding of employment law and HR best practice, with the ability to interpret and apply it in a real-world setting.
