Head of Organisation Design and Development

Salary: 78,000
Location: Birmingham City Centre (hybrid working available - up to 4 days from home)
Hours: Mon-Fri, 37 hours per week
Initially a 12-month FTC

Role Overview:
Our client is seeking a dynamic leader to head up their Organisation Design and Development (OD&D) team. This role is pivotal in shaping the future of their organisation by enabling leadership excellence, optimising structures and processes, and fostering a culture of inclusion, continuous improvement, and high performance. As a key member of the Senior Leadership Team, you will work closely with the Director of People Services and the Executive Team to drive success and ensure the company is a truly great place to work.

Key Responsibilities:
* Develop and embed the People & Culture Strategy through organisational design and development initiatives.
* Oversee frameworks for leadership capability, learning and development, cultural change, and performance improvement.
* Lead organisation-wide learning and development agenda, including digital and creative solutions.
* Deliver the Diversity and Inclusion strategy across all OD&D initiatives.
* Conduct diagnostic assessments to optimise operating models, structures, and processes.
* Facilitate cultural and behavioural change to support a high-performance, inclusive culture.
* Lead and mentor the OD&D team, building internal capability and fostering collaboration.
* Act as an internal consultant and coach to senior leaders, ensuring successful delivery of change initiatives.

Required Skills and Experience:
* Extensive experience in HR leadership roles with expertise in organisation design, development, change management, and learning & development (preferably public sector).
* Proven ability to lead and coach OD&D and learning professionals.
* Strong strategic thinking, planning, and analysis skills.
* Significant experience managing organisational change to achieve desired outcomes.
Preferred Qualifications:
* Professional HR certification (e.g., CIPD).
* Professional coaching qualification with extensive coaching experience.
* Excellent relationship management, influencing, and facilitation skills at all levels.
