Xpertise are proud to be working with a well-respected organisation to recruit a Technical Change Manager to join their Technology & Delivery team. This role is responsible for leading the planning, coordination, and execution of technical change across the IT landscape, ensuring all changes are delivered efficiently, securely, and with minimal disruption to business operations.

I’m keen to speak with individuals who are confident communicators, capable of collaborating with stakeholders across IT and the wider business. You'll play a vital role in coordinating changes across internal teams and third-party partners, helping to ensure the stability and scalability of our client’s IT environment.

Main duties and responsibilities:

  • Lead the planning, coordination, and implementation of technical changes (e.g. software upgrades, infrastructure changes, cloud integrations, release deployments)
  • Collaborate closely with internal IT teams, business stakeholders, and third-party suppliers to ensure smooth and timely change delivery
  • Evaluate change impact and risk, producing clear plans that outline testing requirements, environment dependencies, and timelines
  • Maintain a forward view of planned technical changes and ensure alignment with the overall IT strategy and business priorities
  • Support the IT and Business Project Managers during test, transition and release phases
  • Work closely with the Release & Transition Manager to schedule and manage technical changes and deployments
  • Provide oversight and assurance to ensure all release artefacts (e.g., release notes, test results, change logs) are captured and validated

Experience required:

  • Strong experience in a Technical Change Management role, ideally within a mid-large scale IT function
  • Solid understanding of infrastructure, application, and cloud-based technology landscapes (Azure preferred)
  • Demonstrable experience planning and delivering technical change within an ITIL-aligned or structured change/release environment
  • Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills, with experience engaging across both technical and non-technical teams
