Location: Birmingham Hybrid

We are seeking a highly skilledNetwork Engineerwith a strong focus onPalo AltoandAzuretechnologies to join an international MSP. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in network security, cloud infrastructure, and hands-on experience with Palo Alto firewalls, particularly in Azure environments. This role involves designing, implementing, and managing secure, scalable network solutions that align with business requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, deploy, and manage network solutions usingPalo Alto firewallswithinAzureenvironments. Ensure that all solutions meet security, performance, and availability requirements.
• Implement and manage network security policies using Palo Alto technologies, including advanced features such asThreat Prevention,URL Filtering, andGlobal Protect.
• Integrate and manage Palo Alto firewalls inAzure, including setting upVirtual Network(VNet),VNet Peering,Azure Firewall, andExpressRouteconfigurations.
• Administer and maintainPAN-OSfirewalls, including updating firmware, managing firewall policies, and analysing security and traffic logs.
• Monitor network traffic, detect security threats, and respond to incidents. Perform regular security assessments and audits to ensure the integrity of the network.
• Work closely with cloud architects, DevOps, and IT teams to design and implement network solutions that support business objectives.
• Create and maintain detailed network documentation, including design diagrams, configuration guides, and troubleshooting procedures.
• Stay up to date with the latest Palo Alto and Azure technologies, recommending improvements to existing network infrastructure and processes.

Skills

• Extensive experience withPalo Altofirewalls, including designing and managing high availability configurations and implementing security features.
• In-depth knowledge ofAzurenetworking services, includingVirtual Networks,ExpressRoute,VNet Peering,Azure Firewall,Load Balancers, andNetwork Security Groups.
• Experience securing cloud environments usingPalo Altosolutions, with a strong understanding ofAzuresecurity principles and best practices.
• Proficiency in scripting and automation using tools likeTerraform,Ansible, orPowerShellto streamline network deployments in Azure.
• Experience with integratingPalo Altofirewalls withActive Directory Services(ADFS, SAML/SSO) and cloud-native security tools.

Certifications:

• Palo Alto:PCNSE(Palo Alto Networks Certified Network Security Engineer),PCCSE(Prisma Certified Cloud Security Engineer)
