About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Quality Manager to lead and implement quality assurance and control processes on a major high-rise residential development in Birmingham City Centre.
The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring that all works — including architectural, structural, and M&E elements — are delivered to the highest standards of quality, safety, and compliance. You will play a key role in maintaining consistency, driving best practice, and supporting the site team to achieve flawless project delivery.
Key Responsibilities

Develop, implement, and maintain the Project Quality Management Plan (QMP) in line with company procedures and client requirements.

Carry out regular site inspections and audits to monitor build quality and ensure works are in accordance with approved drawings and specifications.

Identify, record, and manage defects, snags, and non-conformances, ensuring timely close-out and corrective action.

Support subcontractors and site teams with guidance on quality standards, materials, and installation practices.

Review and approve Inspection & Test Plans (ITPs), quality records, and handover documentation.

Lead quality-related meetings, workshops, and toolbox talks to promote a culture of excellence.

Liaise with the client, design team, and senior management to provide clear reporting on quality performance and progress.
Requirements

Proven experience as a Quality Manager, Clerk of Works, or Quality Inspector on large-scale residential or mixed-use developments.

Strong technical understanding of construction processes, including structural, architectural, and M&E disciplines.

Excellent attention to detail, organisational skills, and communication abilities.

Working knowledge of ISO 9001 quality systems and relevant British Standards.

Proficient in digital snagging and quality tracking tools (e.g. Field View, SnagR, Zutec, etc.).

Relevant construction qualifications (HNC/HND or degree in Construction, Engineering, or Quality Management).

CSCS card required.
