About the Role

We're on the lookout for an experienced and forward-thinking Head of IT to take the reins of our technology landscape. This is a hands-on leadership role, ideal for someone who knows how to align IT with business goals, lead service delivery teams, and make the most of the Microsoft tech stack.

You'll be leading a small but growing IT function, ensuring our systems, infrastructure, and services run like clockwork. Your remit will cover strategy and service management to stakeholder engagement and tech delivery.

Key Responsibilities

  • Own and drive the IT strategy in line with business objectives - building a technology enabled business using modern solutions
  • Lead IT operations, service delivery and support functions across multiple sites
  • Manage and develop the internal IT team and third-party suppliers
  • Ensure robust, secure and scalable infrastructure across the business
  • Oversee Microsoft stack services (365, Azure, Intune, SharePoint, Teams, etc.)
  • Champion ITIL-based service delivery, ensuring SLAs and KPIs are met
  • Drive continuous improvement, automation and standardisation across IT services
  • Act as the point of escalation for all critical IT incidents and issues
  • Support wider technology projects
  • Manage budgets, procurement and vendor relationships
  • Ensure compliance with data security, GDPR and best practices

What We're Looking For

  • Proven experience in a senior IT leadership role - ideally as Head of IT, IT Manager or similar
  • Strong background in service delivery and ITIL practices
  • Deep knowledge of the Microsoft ecosystem - including Azure, Microsoft 365, Endpoint Manager, etc.
  • Strong experience with infrastructure, networking, cloud and security
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
  • Able to balance strategic thinking with day-to-day operational delivery
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, change-driven environment
  • A collaborative leader who enjoys mentoring and developing teams

Nice to Have

  • ITIL certification (v3 or v4)
  • Microsoft certifications (e.g. Azure Administrator, MS-900, etc.)
  • Experience in regulated industries or working to ISO27001 standards
  • IT Audit experience
