Your new role

We're looking for a proactive Records Information Officer to lead a review of our information governance and records management processes. Acting as a central coordination point, you'll ensure our data is accurate, secure, and compliant throughout the review period.
Your responsibilities will include:

  • Auditing and rationalising information assets across the organisation.
  • Reviewing and updating the Information Asset Register (IAR).
  • Confirming data classification levels and identifying high-risk or sensitive assets.
  • Checking retention and disposal compliance and ensuring destruction processes meet GDPR standards.
  • Producing clear reports on compliance status, risks, and recommendations for improvement.


What you'll need to succeed

  • Strong knowledge of records management principles, GDPR, and FOI.
  • Experience with MS Purview and information governance frameworks.
  • Excellent organisational and communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
  • GCSE Maths and English (or equivalent).
