Are you an experienced Service Engineer ready to step into a Lead role? This is a fantastic opportunity to join a growing, team-oriented fire and security business that values professionalism, development, and a strong culture.



About the Role


As a Lead Service Engineer, you will be responsible for delivering planned maintenance, reactive callouts, and remedial works across a diverse customer base. You'll ensure compliance with British Standards and current legislation, while mentoring junior engineers and supporting the wider engineering team.



Key Responsibilities

  • Carry out service visits, fault finding, and remedial works across fire and security systems.
  • Communicate effectively with customers regarding service outcomes and next steps.
  • Maintain van stock to maximise first-time fix rates.
  • Identify non-conformances and report recommendations for quotations.
  • Respond to emergency calls within agreed timeframes.
  • Support and supervise junior engineers when required.
  • Complete all documentation accurately and in line with company standards.


Requirements

  • Proven experience in fire and security service engineering.
  • Strong knowledge of British Standards (e.g. BS5839, SP203) and SSAIB regulations.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Full UK manual driving licence (maximum 6 points).
