About the Role
As a Lead Service Engineer, you will be responsible for delivering planned maintenance, reactive callouts, and remedial works across a diverse customer base. You'll ensure compliance with British Standards and current legislation, while mentoring junior engineers and supporting the wider engineering team.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out service visits, fault finding, and remedial works across fire and security systems.
- Communicate effectively with customers regarding service outcomes and next steps.
- Maintain van stock to maximise first-time fix rates.
- Identify non-conformances and report recommendations for quotations.
- Respond to emergency calls within agreed timeframes.
- Support and supervise junior engineers when required.
- Complete all documentation accurately and in line with company standards.
Requirements
- Proven experience in fire and security service engineering.
- Strong knowledge of British Standards (e.g. BS5839, SP203) and SSAIB regulations.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Full UK manual driving licence (maximum 6 points).

Working Hours
- Monday to Friday: 08:30 - 17:00
