REED Technology are working with an organisation who are seeking an experienced Solution Architect with a strong background in Facilities Management and a passion for designing innovative IT solutions? As a Solution Architect, you'll work closely with business stakeholders, IT teams, and project managers to deliver end-to-end technology solutions that drive operational efficiency and business success. You'll help bridge the gap between business requirements and IT capabilities-ensuring every solution is robust, cost-effective, and aligned with long-term strategy.
You'll be part of a dynamic architecture function, collaborating with enterprise and technical architects to ensure all solutions align with overarching roadmaps and architectural principles. Experience in Facilities Management environments is essential, as you'll be supporting technology solutions that directly impact operational service delivery.
Key Responsibilities
- Partner with IT Project Managers and business stakeholders to design solutions that meet project and operational needs.
- Support bid and business development teams with solution designs and cost models.
- Ensure architectural compliance and alignment with enterprise IT standards.
- Present and explain solution designs and models to technical and non-technical audiences.
- Provide technical leadership and guidance to delivery teams during project execution.
- Review supplier proposals for quality, feasibility, and compliance with architectural standards.
- Produce clear and comprehensive solution and service designs to guide delivery.
- Maintain alignment between technology solutions and business strategy.
Essential Skills & Experience
- Proven experience as a Solution Architect within Facilities Management or a closely related sector.
- Expertise in one or more of the following: CRM, complex case management, Telephony, Azure, Cloud technologies, Dynamics, SaaS products, RPA/AI, or Data Analytics.
- Strong understanding of IT infrastructure, Cloud-based solutions, and modern application architectures.
- Demonstrable experience supporting large-scale IT projects or bids.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
- Good knowledge of IT security standards and best practices.
- Degree in an IT-related discipline or equivalent hands-on experience.
