Job Title: Manufacturing Process Engineer

Location: Birmingham
Salary: £35,000 £40,000 depending on experience

Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 08:00 to 17:00

Overview:

A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a skilled and motivated Manufacturing Process Engineer to join a growing production and operations team. This role plays a key part in enhancing manufacturing processes, integrating new equipment and systems, and driving continuous improvement across production operations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage tasks and projects within manufacturing and production departments.
  • Apply process engineering expertise to improve safety, quality, and cost-effectiveness.
  • Drive the introduction, development, and optimisation of new processes and workflows.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve equipment performance and ensure consistent, high-quality output.
  • Take full ownership of personal workload and deliverables, contributing to ongoing continuous improvement initiatives.

Essential Requirements:

  • Demonstrated experience as a process engineer in a manufacturing environment.
  • Strong understanding of manual and semi-automated assembly processes.
  • Expertise in quality control tools such as PFMEA, Control Plans, and Process Audits.
  • Ability to challenge existing processes constructively and identify areas for improvement.
  • Proficiency in interpreting engineering drawings and CAD data.
  • Excellent communication skills, including the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Strong IT skills and sound knowledge of core engineering principles.
  • Hands-on experience with shop floor machining and manufacturing processes.
  • A values-driven mindset with a proactive, accountable, and collaborative approach.
