Job Title: Monitoring Engineer/Surveyor
Location: Nationwide
Salary: Dependant on experience/qualifications
Hours: Full time – Monday – Friday 9:00-17:00 (midweek and weekend overtime available)
About the role
We’re looking for an experienced and dedicated Monitoring Engineer/Surveyor to join our growing team.
As a Monitoring Engineer / Surveyor, you will carry out a range of monitoring tasks using advanced equipment and technologies to support critical rail works. You’ll collect and analyse data, contribute to geotechnical monitoring and play a key role in maintaining the accuracy and safety of infrastructure. This is a dynamic role with excellent opportunities for development and involvement in a wide variety of challenging, high-profile projects.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct a variety of structural and environmental monitoring tasks using specialist equipment and software.
- Analyse and process monitoring data using industry-standard tools.
- Support geotechnical monitoring activities (desirable).
- Assist in mentoring and supporting junior team members.
- Maintain high safety standards and comply with site regulations.
- Carry out any other duties as required by the business.

Requirements:
- 1–2 years' experience in surveying, engineering, or monitoring.
- Relevant qualifications or equivalent experience in the field.
- Familiarity with UK construction and rail industry practices.
- Strong understanding of Microsoft Office (Word, Outlook, Excel).
- High regard for safety and quality standards.
- Ambition to learn, develop and grow within the role.
- Flexibility to travel nationwide and stay away as needed.
- Must have the right to work in the UK.
