Join one of the UK’s leading firms of solicitors as a Senior Associate within the firms dedicated Court of Protection team. This is an exciting opportunity to take the lead on managing a portfolio of high-value and/or complex Court of Protection cases, as well as supervising and mentoring a small team.

You’ll contribute to business growth through client development and strategic leadership, ensuring the team continues to deliver an exceptional client experience.

**Flexible working with 1- 2 days in the office per week**

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage a varied and complex caseload involving Court of Protection matters, particularly high-value cases.
  • Lead and supervise a small team including coaching, mentoring, performance management and supporting professional development.
  • Handle complex applications including property and affairs, deputyship, statutory wills, and trust-related matters.
  • Support and work closely with the Partner in business development and marketing initiatives to grow the team’s client base.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, referrers, and internal stakeholders.
  • Provide technically excellent advice and service with a keen attention to detail and a pragmatic, client-focused approach.
  • Keep abreast of legal and regulatory developments within Court of Protection law.

About You

We are seeking a motivated, personable, and strategic individual with a real passion for Court of Protection work. You’ll be a natural problem-solver who thrives in a fast-paced, intellectually stimulating environment and who values collaborative leadership.

Essential Requirements:

  • Qualified solicitor or legal executive (CILEX or SRA route).
  • Proven experience handling Court of Protection property and affairs work.
  • Demonstrable leadership skills, with experience supervising or mentoring junior team members.
  • Business development mindset and confidence in growing and maintaining client and referrer relationships.
  • Strong technical legal skills with a commitment to high-quality service delivery.
  • Experience with trust structures and/or the litigation process is highly desirable.
