Your new companyOur client is a Top 40 defendant law firm with offices nationwide. They are currently recruiting several Healthcare Associates (3+ PQE) and a Senior Associate (5+ PQE) to join their Birmingham office to handle their own caseload of defendant clinical negligence cases. The firm offers a very competitive salary and benefits along with plenty of hybrid flexibility.Your new roleThese Clinical Negligence Associate and Senior Associate positions will see you handle your own caseload of wide-ranging clinical negligence matters from inception to conclusion on behalf of the NHS Litigation Authority and NHS Trusts. Cases will be a mix of litigated and pre-litigated work. You may be expected to assist the Team Manager and other team members with the running of their caseload when necessary. Senior Associates will be expected to partake in business development to help build the reputation of the department and mentor junior members of staff.What you'll need to succeedYou must be a qualified solicitor or chartered legal executive with a minimum of 3 years post-qualification experience for the Associate role and 5 years for the Senior Associate position. Previous experience defending high-value and complex clinical negligence claims is required. Applicants must have defendant experience. You must have excellent technical ability and knowledge of CPR. Successful applicants will have strong communication and advocacy skills.
