An exciting opportunity has arisen for a talented Banking & Finance Solicitor (3-5 years PQE) to join a nationally recognised Finance team at a leading commercial law firm. The role offers high-quality work, excellent training and development, and the chance to work alongside some of the most respected lawyers in the sector.

The Role

You will be part of a busy and growing Finance team advising a broad range of lenders and borrowers on a wide variety of financing transactions. The work includes acting for:

  • UK clearing banks

  • Investment banks and funds

  • Independent finance providers

  • Corporate borrowers ranging from listed companies to SMEs

You will support on a wide variety of finance transactions, including general corporate lending, asset-based lending, and invoice discounting. The team is known for its partner-led approach, exceptional client service, and strong collaborative culture across offices.

What You'll Bring

The successful candidate will ideally:

  • Have 3-5 years' post-qualification experience in banking and finance law

  • Have trained at a City or leading national/regional firm

  • Bring experience in asset-based lending and/or invoice discounting (preferred but not essential)

  • Be technically strong, commercially aware, and highly organised

  • Be a team player with excellent communication and client-handling skills

  • Be proactive and keen to contribute to business development and client relationships

You'll be supported by experienced partners and encouraged to take early responsibility with the opportunity to grow your own portfolio of clients.
