Employment Associate/Senior Associate – Birmingham (Hybrid Working)4+ PQE | Healthcare Sector Focus | Flexibility & Progression A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a 4+ PQE Employment Solicitor to join a national employment healthcare team, based in the Birmingham office of a leading UK law firm. This role is perfect for someone who enjoys complex litigation, thrives in multi-disciplinary teams, and has an interest—or background—in the health and care sector (including the NHS or independent providers). You'll work alongside sector-leading partners, supporting a mix of public, private, and voluntary sector healthcare clients. You’ll also collaborate with commercial, regulatory, and corporate teams on workforce issues relating to transactions and projects. Why this role?

What you'll be doing:
  • Manage a varied caseload of employment matters (primarily litigation and advisory)
  • Advise on TUPE, restructures, senior exits, workforce planning
  • Support employment aspects of corporate/healthcare transactions
  • Supervise junior team members and support their development
  • Deliver client training and assist with business development
What my client is looking for:
  • Strong contentious and advisory employment experience (healthcare sector experience is a plus)
  • Comfortable managing complex litigation as part of a team
  • TUPE and transactional experience desirable
  • NHS or independent healthcare knowledge a bonus (e.g. T&Cs, Practising Privileges)
  • Confident supervising others and managing client relationships
  • Passion for public services and making a difference through law
