Pastoral Lead – Secondary SchoolAre you a Pastoral Lead or aspiring Pastoral Lead / Head of Year looking for a new challenge? This dynamic and progressive secondary school is looking to add a Pastoral Lead to the team to provide pastoral support across a year group. As a Pastoral Lead you will be responsible for monitoring behaviour and attendance across your year group.Behaviour at this school is generally quite good, however as a Pastoral Lead you will be supporting the children who have been identified as “at risk” or have displayed patterns of challenging behaviours. Excellent communication, de-escalation and behaviour management skills are essential. You will be joining an experienced team of Pastoral Leads and working closely with the safeguarding team to ensure that all students are supported appropriately. To be considered for this role you must have a minimum of 6 months experience working with young people, ideally in a school setting. Job Role:
  • Providing pastoral support across your designated year group
  • Monitoring student attendance, lateness, and behaviours
  • Liaising with the safeguarding team and SLT to identify any safeguarding concerns
  • Delivering 1-2-1 interventions for students who have struggled to engage
  • Providing on call support for teaching staff to help managing behaviours
