Float Secretary Location: BirminghamSalary: up to £28,000 (DOE)Our client is now looking for a Legal Secretary to join their Legal 500 Firm in Birmingham City Centre. Role Overview:Provide typing, secretarial, and administrative support to the team and wider firm, ensuring a high standard of service and responsiveness to fee earners' needs.Key Responsibilities:- Deliver audio transcription, digital dictation, and document preparation.- Maintain the case management system, ensuring accurate electronic filing and document linking.- Handle routine tasks such as scanning, printing, photocopying, binding, and faxing.- Schedule appointments and manage diaries for managers and fee earners.- Communicate professionally with clients in person and by phone.- Use internal systems for finance tracking, time recording, and billing.- Maintain confidentiality of all firm and client information.Skills and Experience:- Proficient in Microsoft Office- Strong attention to detail and excellent spelling/grammar.- Effective communicator, calm under pressure, with strong organisational skills.- Deadline-driven with a proactive, problem-solving mindset.- Team player with a flexible, cooperative approach.If this is of interest, please get in touch with Rory Brand at Simpson Judge for a highly confidential chat.
