Hays are partnering with Birmingham City Council to recruit for a number of Legal Intervention Coordinators to join their Attendance and Inclusion Service. This is a unique opportunity to play a vital role in ensuring every child receives the education they deserve.

This role is pay £19.65 per hour, and the working pattern is hybrid.

The key responsibilities of this role are:

  • Lead and supervise a team, ensuring high standards and compliance with HR policies.
  • Liaise with schools and agencies to ensure accurate attendance coding and legal compliance.
  • Provide expert advice and training on legal procedures related to school attendance.
  • Represent the Local Authority in court as an authorised officer.
  • Manage the issuing of Penalty Notices and prepare legal documentation for prosecutions.
  • Maintain and review systems to support legal processes and statutory requirements.
