A Fleet Contract Manager is an integral role in our retail organisation, responsible for managing the relationships with fleet providers, and ensuring the most efficient utilisation and capability of the national delivery fleet.

The company, based in headquartered in the West midlands, is a large builders merchants supplying an extensive variety of products. They are known for their commitment to high-quality products and services, as well as their focus on continuous improvement and growth.

Description

This is newly created role to assist the smooth running of the national distribution and delivery network fleet.

  • Manage and develop relationships with fleet providers.
  • Lead the specification and procurement of the national fleet, MHE and equipment.
  • Oversee the operation of the fleet department.
  • Implement strategies to improve efficiency and cost-effectiveness in fleet management.
  • Ensure compliance with industry regulations and safety standards.
  • Monitor and report on the performance of fleet and equipment maintenance contracts.
  • Handle contract negotiations and renewals (Maintenance, telematics, technology) .
  • Identify and mitigate potential risks in fleet operations.
  • Collaborate with other departments to achieve organisational goals.

Profile

A successful Fleet Contract Manager should have:

  • Strong knowledge of fleet management, procurement and maintenance in a national logistics environment.
  • Experience working with a HIAB, Moffett and crane fleets is advantageous
  • Excellent negotiation and relationship management skills.
  • The ability to analyse data and make informed decisions.
  • A thorough understanding of industry regulations and safety standards.
  • Exceptional negotiation skills
  • Exceptional problem-solving abilities.

Job Offer
