We're seeking an MP&L Manager to join a growing, forward-thinking SME manufacturer in the heart of the West Midlands. With a proud heritage in welding, fabrication, and presswork, they supply mission-critical components to automotive, rail, aerospace, and off-highway customers, each with their own demanding quality and delivery standards. The Materials Planning and Logistics Manager will be a key member of their senior leadership team and will report directly to the General Manager.
The Role
Reporting to the Operations Director, you'll lead the end-to-end MP&L function, overseeing:
- Materials planning, inventory control, and logistics
- Supplier performance, inbound & outbound flow
- Scheduling and production planning
- Driving OTIF, reducing WIP & improving warehouse efficiency
This is a hands-on role with real influence-ideal for someone who loves improving processes, motivating teams, and making a visible impact in a close-knit operation.
What You'll Bring
- Experience in a manufacturing MP&L or Supply Chain Manager role
- Well rounded knowledge of materials, warehousing, planning and the overall supply chain in a complex multi-customer environment
- Strong knowledge of MRP/ERP systems (Microsoft NAV an advantage)
- A track record of improving supply chain performance in an SME or Tier 2 environment
- A proactive, sleeves-rolled-up attitude and excellent leadership skills
