Astute's Renewables team is exclusively partnering with a leading renewable energy company, recognised as a market leader in solar operations and asset management, to recruit a Senior Commercial Manager based in the UK, working on a hybrid basis with occasional travel across Europe.

The Senior Commercial manager role is responsible for overseeing the commercial, financial, and contractual performance of large-scale solar and wind portfolios across the UK and comes with a salary of 52,000 plus benefits package.

Responsibilities and duties of the Senior Commercial Asset Manager role



Reporting to the Head of Asset Management you will:

  • Lead and coordinate management of assigned solar and wind project portfolios.
  • Monitor income and expenditure for renewable energy operating companies.
  • Develop and maintain liquidity planning, budgets, and cost control measures.
  • Prepare and deliver clear financial and performance reports for investors, owners, and banks.
  • Oversee operations, maintenance, and service contracts for active projects.
  • Support quarterly and annual financial statement preparation.
  • Manage insurance and warranty claims on behalf of project companies.
  • Liaise and collaborate with investors, banks, auditors, technical teams, and public authorities.
  • Organise and manage shareholder meetings, from preparation through to follow-up.
  • Coordinate internal reporting with client plant managers.
  • Approach complex, multidisciplinary challenges with structured problem-solving and effective stakeholder management.






Professional qualifications



We are looking for someone with the following:

  • Commercial or financial qualification (degree or equivalent).
  • Minimum 3 years' experience in renewable energy asset management (solar and/or wind) or real estate asset management.
  • Proven expertise in financial, commercial, and contract management.
  • Independent, detail-oriented, and resilient work approach.
  • Highly proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
  • Excellent written and verbal English communication skills (native-level or equivalent).
  • Strong interpersonal, analytical, and leadership skills with a collaborative mindset.
