Day to Day Duties
We’re looking for an experienced and proactive Transport Manager to oversee logistics and delivery operations within a busy, 24-hour wholesale environment. You’ll be responsible for ensuring smooth and efficient transport scheduling, fleet management, and compliance with all transport regulations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage daily transport operations across a 24/7 schedule
- Lead and support a team of drivers and logistics staff
- Oversee vehicle maintenance, compliance, and route planning
- Monitor performance and ensure timely, cost-effective deliveries
- Liaise with warehouse, sales, and customer service teams
Essential skills:
- Proven experience in transport or logistics management
- Excellent leadership, organisation, and problem-solving skills
- Knowledge of transport legislation and compliance
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, round-the-clock operation
Desirable Experience
- CPC (Certificate of Professional Competence) qualification
- Strong knowledge of fleet management systems and route planning software
- Experience managing multi-drop deliveries or time-critical logistics
