Mechanical Maintenance Engineer - Days

Location: Birmingham

Salary: £43k Basic + Scheduled Callout Pay to earn average of £50k, with lots of opportunities to earn more

Package: Matched Pension (6%), Healthcare, OT (2x Sun, 1.5x Sat), Bonus, 25 Days Holiday + Bank Holidays

Hours: Mon – Fri // 7:00am to 15:30pm // (1 in 7 Callout, paid as Overtime)

Key Responsibilities:

As a mechanical maintenance engineer, you will be expected to:

  • Complete planned preventive maintenance
  • React to breakdowns
  • Mechanical fault finding.
  • Undertake project work which can include upgrading and new machine installation. 
  • Have pneumatics experience
  • Read mechanical drawings

 

About You:

To be considered for this mechanical maintenance engineer role you should be/have the following:

  • Team player.
  • Ability to fault find mechanical
  • Be comfortable working in a heavy industry environment
  • Be happy for callouts every 1 in 7 weeks (paid as Overtime)
  • You should hold a recognised level 3 (or above) mechanical qualification - city and guilds, NVQ, BTEC, HND, HNC.
