Multi Skilled Maintenance Engineer

SF Engineering are recruiting for a Multiskilled Maintenance Engineer, the successful candidate will be part of a specialist team who strive for Zero Breakdown within manufacturing, though maintenance adherence and continuous improvements.

Primary Objectives:

Safety compliance - Ensuring that all systems and equipment meet health and safety standards to protect workers and prevent accidents.
Troubleshooting and repairs - Diagnosing and fixing mechanical or electrical issues to keep operations running efficiently
Regulatory compliance - Adhering to industry regulations and standards to maintain operational integrity

Main Tasks and Key Areas of Work:

- Support Production Engineers with large projects
- Carry out and support improvement activities.
- Understanding the latest technologies
- Operate all workshop tools and equipment
- Good Understanding of hydraulics and pneumatics
- Good Understanding of electrics and electronics
- Able to Fault find effectively and mentor others fault finding.
- Good Understanding of Automation and robotics
- Carry out Breakdowns and repairs
- Basic Understanding of CAD
- Good Understanding of TPM
- Support All Pillars of TPM
- Drive maintenance standards
- Testing and pre-production inspection following intervention
- Understanding of materials and their properties
- Instrument calibration
- Clearly communicate technical information to non-technical colleagues
- Collaboration with cross functional teams
- Good Understanding of sustainability, the environment and energy efficiency
- Good Understanding of health & safety and regulatory requirements
- Proactively Mentor others where needed.
- Proactively work to improve Engineering KPI's - OEE, downtime etc
- Good understanding of stakeholder/customer requirements
- Work towards a level 5 engineering qualification.
- Create, carry out and review PM standards and schedules.
- Involved in maintenance task risk assessments and support operational risk assessment.
- Follow all Health and Safety Procedures
- Support FI process improvements
- Carry out FI on PM activities for chronic losses
- Lead sporadic breakdown reports
- Maintain spares inventory and order new parts cost effectively
- Maintain a high level of housekeeping at all times.
- Create and sustain 5S standards.
- Involved in Machine moving projects

Essential Skills / Qualifications required:

- Level 5 engineering qualification. Desired
- Computer literate (Micro Soft, Vault/Inventor, Avante) or similar.
- Good understanding of machine software, electropneumatic and robots. Ladder logic and function blocks. (Mitsubishi, Siemens etc and ABB, Nachi and Yaskawa etc)
- Advanced knowledge in Pneumatics and hydraulics
- Able to interpret schematic drawings and read tooling drawings including tolerances.
- Operate basic workshop machine tools
- Forklift Licence desired
- Electrical Qualification Desired
