Location: Coleshill
Salary: £56,000 – £57,000 per annum (Including Shift)
Shifts: Monday–Friday (3-Shift)

Controls Engineer Role:

Controls Engineer Responsibilities:

  • Interrogate and modify Siemens PLCs (TIA Portal and Classic, ladder logic, function blocks).
  • Support and develop automation systems, including ABB robots.
  • Assist with electrical fault finding and modifications across production lines.
  • Deliver preventative and reactive maintenance on controls/electrical systems.
  • Work collaboratively with engineering and production teams to optimise automation performance.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement projects and support new equipment commissioning.

Controls Engineer Experience:

  • Strong electrically biased background (min. 7 years in maintenance/engineering).
  • Skilled in Siemens S7 PLC interrogation and modifications.
  • Electrically qualified (Level 3).
  • Experience in high-volume production environments (automotive preferred, but other sectors considered).
  • Experience as a Controls Engineer.
  • ABB Robotics programming experience.
  • Ability to perform minor PLC mods and fault-finding with confidence.
