We’re looking for a skilled and driven Controls Engineer to join our growing team. You’ll be responsible for the full lifecycle of BMS (Building Management System) control systems—from programming to commissioning—ensuring seamless integration with a variety of systems and technologies.

Control Systems Engineer

£45k - £52k + Car Or Car Allowance & Overtime

Home Based position - Central UK

Key Responsibilities:

  • Program and commission BMS control systems at customer sites.

  • Install hardware and software to control panels.

  • Integrate control systems with electrical, mechanical, and irrigation infrastructure using protocols such as Modbus, BACnet, and CANbus.

  • Develop bespoke control programs tailored to project requirements.

  • Modify new and existing control panels and equipment

  • Provide technical support via phone or online during working hours.

  • Assist and support other engineers, third-party technicians, and clients

  • Perform room performance testing according to provided schedules.

  • Complete test reports and associated documentation.

  • Conduct servicing and maintenance of control systems and panels.

 

The Person:

  • Proven experience in the installation and commissioning of control systems.

  • Strong problem-solving skills and the confidence to question and support others

  • Knowledge of HVAC systems is advantageous but not essential.

  • A collaborative mindset and the ability to work both independently
