If you’re the kind of person who gets excited by perfectly colour-coded spreadsheets and endless "strategy meetings", this probably isn’t for you.
But if you’ve spent real time in the guts of a maintenance operation- wrench in one hand, plan in the other- you’ll get why this role matters.
This is a big site. 10+ acres of heavy kit, constant production, and not much room for error. You’ll be leading the team that keeps it all running- planning, fixing, upgrading, and making sure it doesn’t all go sideways when a pump decides to call it a day.Salary: £59,000Shifts: Regular Days
Here’s what we’re actually looking for:
-
Someone who knows how to lead without shouting
-
Can turn chaos into a planned shutdown
-
Doesn’t flinch at KPIs, compliance, or audits
-
Has the confidence to stand in for the Maintenance Manager
-
And maybe most importantly- can spot a maintenance issue before it becomes a production disaster
You’ll be running a Planning team, a Machine Shop, and all the predictable (and unpredictable) stuff that comes with a fast-moving, mechanically intense operation. You’ll be shaping how maintenance is done- not just firefighting when things go wrong.
Yes, there’s training and development. Yes, there’s a strong team already in place. And yes, the site is backed by a global business with serious ambition.
You?
-
HNC/HND in Mechanical Engineering or something similar
-
Strong background in production or manufacturing (not just theory—real stuff)
-
Comfortable dealing with complexity and pressure
-
Proven leadership experience
-
Someone who can influence, improve, and deliver
If you’re looking for a maintenance role where you can genuinely make a difference this one’s worth a look.
