Job title: Operations Manager
Are you a seasoned freight forwarding pro with a sharp commercial edge and a passion for leading high-performing teams? We're on the lookout for an experienced Operations Manager to take charge of global logistics operations for a well-established, forward-thinking logistics company.
This is a hands-on, strategic role where you'll be responsible for the smooth execution of global shipments, documentation, budgeting, and managing full P&L for your department. You'll be a key player working with suppliers, overseas partners, commercial teams, and clients on high-profile, high-value projects.
Responsibilities:
- Manage complex, sensitive, and high-profile project shipments globally
- Own all documentation, invoicing, and operational activities across air, ocean, and road
- Collaborate with transport and commercial teams to streamline costs and boost profitability
- Build and maintain top-tier relationships with clients, partners, and 3PL/4PL providers
- Monitor budgets, drive profitability, and maintain full control over department P&L
- Ensure compliance with industry standards and internal procedures
Requirements:
- 10+ years of freight forwarding experience, with proven management credentials
- Deep knowledge of international logistics, documentation, and Letter of Credit processes
- Strong leadership skills - you're a people motivator and process optimiser
- Comfortable managing multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent communication, commercial awareness, and stakeholder management skills
- Solid understanding of freight regulations and global logistics best practices
