Responsibilities and duties

Reporting to the Contracts Manager, you will:

  • Oversee daily operations of active construction sites, ensuring all work is completed safely, on time, and within budget.
  • Coordinate with project managers, subcontractors, engineers, and suppliers to deliver projects efficiently.
  • Manage site teams, subcontractors, and suppliers to maintain consistent workflow.
  • Implement and enforce safety regulations, conducting regular inspections and toolbox talks.
  • Maintain high quality standards through routine checks and adherence to project specifications.
  • Keep accurate site records, including progress reports, daily logs, and incident reports.
  • Identify potential project risks and develop effective mitigation strategies.
  • Support resource planning and material procurement to ensure project continuity.
  • Provide regular updates to senior management on project progress, issues, and milestones.

Professional qualifications

We are looking for someone with the following:

  • Proven experience as a Site Manager or Site Supervisor within the construction industry.
  • Demonstrated success managing large-scale construction projects.
  • In-depth knowledge of construction processes, safety regulations, and quality control.
  • Strong leadership and team coordination abilities.
  • Proficient with project management tools and MS Office Suite.
  • Hold SMSTS certification.
  • Valid UK Driving Licence.
  • Possess either a EUSR SHEA Power card or a valid CSCS card.

Desirable qualifications:

  • Degree or equivalent in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or related field.
  • UKPIA experience, particularly within petrol forecourt environments.
  • Emergency First Aid at Work certification.
