Responsibilities and duties
Reporting to the Contracts Manager, you will:
- Oversee daily operations of active construction sites, ensuring all work is completed safely, on time, and within budget.
- Coordinate with project managers, subcontractors, engineers, and suppliers to deliver projects efficiently.
- Manage site teams, subcontractors, and suppliers to maintain consistent workflow.
- Implement and enforce safety regulations, conducting regular inspections and toolbox talks.
- Maintain high quality standards through routine checks and adherence to project specifications.
- Keep accurate site records, including progress reports, daily logs, and incident reports.
- Identify potential project risks and develop effective mitigation strategies.
- Support resource planning and material procurement to ensure project continuity.
- Provide regular updates to senior management on project progress, issues, and milestones.
Professional qualifications
We are looking for someone with the following:
- Proven experience as a Site Manager or Site Supervisor within the construction industry.
- Demonstrated success managing large-scale construction projects.
- In-depth knowledge of construction processes, safety regulations, and quality control.
- Strong leadership and team coordination abilities.
- Proficient with project management tools and MS Office Suite.
- Hold SMSTS certification.
- Valid UK Driving Licence.
- Possess either a EUSR SHEA Power card or a valid CSCS card.
Desirable qualifications:
- Degree or equivalent in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or related field.
- UKPIA experience, particularly within petrol forecourt environments.
- Emergency First Aid at Work certification.
