Hvac Engineer

We are currently looking for experienced Heating, Ventilation and Air Conditioning Engineers to join one of our clients based in the Midlands, although the work will involve covering the M4 and M5 corridors.

The client is a market-leading supplier in the UK HVAC marketplace, and operate nationwide carrying out compliance, planned maintenance, design and installation.

This is a field based role and covers the areas bordering both the M4 and M5 corridors.

The main duties will include the following:-

• Performing routine maintenance tasks, such as cleaning and replacing filters Recordkeeping.
• Instal, maintain, and repair heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC) systems
• Diagnose and troubleshoot HVAC system issues and make necessary repairs.
• Test HVAC systems to ensure they are operating at optimal levels.
• Statutory compliance of F-Gas
• Carry out installation of air conditioning systems when required.
• Maintain strict compliance with industry regulations and safety standards.
• Keep detailed records of all maintenance work performed.
• Escalate issues to Supervisor/Contract Manager immediately.
• Accurately document completed work and materials used.
• Collaborate with colleagues for smooth and effective operations.
• Experience of working on traditional plant equipment right through to more modern systems

The successful applicant will have a proven track record of working in a similar role and have some if not all of the following:-

• Experience of working on a range of AirConditioning equipment including VRVs, VRFs, and Splits
• Be able to demonstrate strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Strong fault-finding experience
• Qualified to NVQ Level 2 in Refrigeration or Air Conditioning or similar
• FGAS Certification.
• Proven background in HVAC maintenance and reactive breakdown repairs.

Candidates will also hold a clean full UK driving licence and, due to the nature of the locations worked in, will need to undergo vetting including DBS checks

The majority of the work will normally take place Monday to Friday although there may be the occasional weekend work. In addition there may also be some call out work although this is kept to a minimum where possible
