Maintenance Engineer

Salary: £39,724

We are recruiting for a market leading processing business who have an opportunity for a Lead Engineer to join the team at their fully automated factory in Perry Barr, I am looking for a Maitenance Engineer from a factory / manufacturing background that is multi skilled, mechanical or electrical bias, holding an engineering qualification. As a Maineancne Engineer you'll be responsible for carrying out planned and reactive maintenance, ensuring that all equipment runs efficiently and reliably. You will liaise with external contractors to coordinate maintenance and repair activities, and you'll be expected to review and update maintenance schedules on a daily and weekly basis. Continuous improvement initiatives and improvements will be a key part of your responsibilities, requiring you to create and maintain pre-planned maintenance schedules for their automated facility. In addition, you will step up and deputise for the engineering manager as needed. While you won't have direct reports, you'll mentor and coach junior members of the technical team, sharing your expertise and ensuring they develop their skills.

Skills required for the Maintenance Engineer:

Have an engineering qualification.

Multi Skilled Maintenance Engineer

Electrical or mechanical bias.

Leadership Experience

Experience within a Fast-paced manufacturing environment

Diagnosing faults and repairing equipment.

Continuous improvements

Ensuring strict adherence to health and safety regulations.
