RCM are recruiting for a Mechanical Design Engineer- Immediately Required.

RCM Ltdare partnered with a privately owned, MEP contractor located within the West Midlands. Delivering services throughout the UK for clients within the Commercial and Residential Sectors.

This role requires strong leadership, technical expertise, and the ability to manage projects from initiation to completion while ensuring efficiency, quality and client satisfaction.

As a Mechanical Design Engineer, you will be responsible for:

Design HVAC, plumbing, and other mechanical systems in compliance with building regulations, codes, and sustainability goals.
Produce detailed mechanical drawings, schematics, and 3D models using AutoCAD, Revit, and other design software.
Perform heat load and cooling load calculations using appropriate software
Prepare technical specifications, reports, and equipment schedules
Conduct site visits, surveys, and inspections to verify designs and ensure quality standards are met.
Coordinate material procurement and site delivery to prevent delays in MEP installations
Stay updated on industry standards, technologies, and best practices in building services engineering

As a Mechanical Design Engineer, you will be required to have the following

Experience working for an MEP or Building Services Contractor, 5+ Years.
Proficient in AutoCAD, and other mechanical design software
Strong understanding of UK building regulations, CIBSE guidelines, and sustainability standards
Mechanical Engineering or Building Services Qualfication (HNC and above)
